Sedgwick County Deputy Public Defender Bach Hang was recently honored with the Wichita Bar Association’s “Liberty Bell” Award. The award is presented by the WBA’s Young Lawyers Section and recognizes an individual’s outstanding community service and dedication to the rule of law. Bach was chosen for the award for his participation and leadership in local self-help legal clinics.

“I love participating with clinics where we help people get off the offender registry for drug convictions, do driver’s license reinstatement, and do expungements. It’s a way for me to pay tribute and honor the legacy of my parents who worked their tails off so I could have better opportunities. It’s also a way to pay tribute to all the kick-ass mentors I’ve had and have,” Bach said.

Congratulations Bach! And keep up the great work!
